摘要：

This paper presents and defends the position I call“interventionist monism”. Interventionist monism is the combination of token physicalism and the interventionist theory of causation. I argue that such a combination is beneficial for both interventionism and token physicalism. It provides a way to evaluate supervenient causation under interventionism that does not automatically introduce subvenient confounders, thus saves interventionism from the problem of confounders raised mainly by Baumgartner (2010, 2013, 2018). Also, interventionist monism can help token physicalism deal with the notorious qua problem which charges that under token physicalism supervenient types are never causally relevant. Interventionist monism secures supervenient causation by bring together the right theory of causation and the right metaphysical picture.
